1. WHO WE ARE

This Privacy Policy describes how GO Home Builders, Inc. (“GO Home Builders,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information through our website at gohomebuilders.com, our contact and estimate forms, our client portal, our email and text communications, and our social media and marketing activities (together, the “Service”).

We are a licensed California general contractor, CSLB License #1076807, based in Altadena, California. We build homes. We are not a marketplace, a lead broker, or a referral platform, and we do not connect you with third-party contractors.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us.

• Contact information — your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
• Project information — the address of your property, details about your home, your project goals, scope, budget range, timeline, insurance situation, and any photos, plans, or documents you send us.
• Account information — if we give you access to our client portal, your username and password.
• Communications — emails, texts, calls, form submissions, and messages you exchange with us, including our notes about those conversations. We may record or transcribe calls where permitted by law and where we have told you we are doing so.
• Reviews and submissions — content you post to our website or send us for publication.
• Referrals — if you refer someone to us, the contact information you give us about them. Please don’t send us someone’s information unless they’ve agreed to it.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit our website, we and our analytics and advertising providers automatically collect:

• Device information — IP address, browser type, device type, and general location such as city or region. We do not collect precise GPS location.
• Usage information — pages you viewed, how you arrived at our site, how long you stayed, links you clicked, and whether you opened our emails.

We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. See Section 4.

Information from other sources.

• Lead and review platforms — when you contact us through Yelp, Google, Facebook, Instagram, or a similar platform, that platform passes us your inquiry and contact information.
• Publicly available sources — property records, permit records, and similar public information about a property we may be working on or evaluating.
• People who refer you — if someone gives us your contact information.

What we don’t collect. We don’t have a mobile app. We don’t process payments through this website, so we don’t collect payment card or bank account information online. We don’t run background checks. We don’t collect precise geolocation.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use personal information to:

• Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions.
• Prepare estimates and proposals, and evaluate whether your project is a fit for us.
• Design, permit, and build your project, and communicate with you throughout it.
• Operate and secure our client portal.
• Send you project updates, scheduling information, and administrative messages.
• Send you marketing communications, where you have agreed to receive them or where the law otherwise allows.
• Advertise our services, including through targeted advertising on Google and Meta platforms (see Section 4).
• Understand how our website is used and improve it.
• Request and publish reviews and project photographs, with permission.
• Keep records required by law, our license, our insurers, and our accountants.
• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

4. COOKIES AND ADVERTISING

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website, including analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising pixels from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram).

Being straightforward about what this means: these pixels let Google and Meta recognize that you visited our website, and let us show ads to you and to people like you on their platforms. Information about your visit is shared with those companies for that purpose. We don’t receive money for this, and we don’t sell your information — but under California law, this kind of advertising is treated as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you have the right to opt out of it.

How to opt out:

• Block third-party cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks tracking.
• Adjust your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com and your Meta ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
• Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) or optout.networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative).
• Email us at CONTACT@GOHOMEBUILDERS.COM and ask us to stop sharing your information for targeted advertising, and we will.

Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signals where our systems receive them.

5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give or trade your contact information to lead brokers, aggregators, or other contractors. Your inquiry stays with us.

We share personal information with:

• Service providers who help us run our business — our website host, our customer relationship management and communications platform, our email and text messaging providers, our analytics providers, our document and file storage, and our accountants and bookkeepers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising platforms — Google and Meta, as described in Section 4.
• Project participants — where necessary to do your project: subcontractors and suppliers working on your home, engineers and consultants, permit and inspection agencies, and your insurer or lender if you ask us to work with them. We share only what’s needed for the work.
• Professional advisors — our attorneys, insurers, and auditors, where needed for the services they provide us.
• Authorities and others — where we believe in good faith it’s necessary to comply with law or legal process, to protect someone’s safety, or to establish or defend legal claims.
• A buyer or successor — if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

6. TEXT MESSAGES AND CALLS

If you give us your phone number, we may contact you by call and text about your inquiry and your project, and for marketing, as described in our Terms of Use. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

7. YOUR CHOICES AND YOUR RIGHTS

Whether or not the law requires it of a company our size, we will honor these requests from anyone:

• Know what personal information we have about you.
• Get a copy of it.
• Correct anything inaccurate.
• Delete it, subject to information we’re required to keep for legal, licensing, insurance, tax, warranty, or contract reasons.
• Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link), marketing texts (reply STOP), and targeted advertising (Section 4).

To make a request, email CONTACT@GOHOMEBUILDERS.COM or write to us at the address in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before we act. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to businesses that meet certain revenue and data-volume thresholds. As of the effective date of this policy, we do not believe we meet those thresholds. We have chosen to offer the rights in Section 7 regardless.

Under California’s Shine the Light law (Civil Code § 1798.83), California residents may request information about personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. If you’d like that confirmed in writing, email CONTACT@GOHOMEBUILDERS.COM with the subject line “Shine the Light Request.”

9. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We keep personal information as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Project records are kept longer — California law, our license, our insurance, and construction warranty periods all require us to retain records well after a project is finished. Inquiries that don’t become projects are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.

10. SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.

11. CHILDREN

Our Service is not directed to children under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.

12. CHANGES AND CONTACT

We may update this policy. If we do, we’ll change the effective date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be posted before they take effect.
