I don’t care what other people say, remodeling your kitchen is stressful! Especially when you just purchased a new house. When Kevin and Karla purchased this house in a quiet area on New York Dr in Altadena, they knew one thing. A kitchen remodel is the first item on their priority list. So, without even moving into the house, they started interviewing different contractors until they found us. From our first meeting, we knew it was a match made in heaven. We explored a lot of different options, talked about kitchen designs, and the challenges of remodeling a kitchen in Altadena.
Finding the right Kitchen Remodeling Contractor in Altadena
It’s almost impossible to believe any professional who says they are the best kitchen remodeling contractor in Altadena. So who should you believe? Kevin and Karla interviewed five different contractors until they got to a point where they felt comfortable enough to move forward with the project.
How many contractors should you interview?
Everyone has their own special number where they feel comfortable enough to pull the trigger. We believe that 2 criteria must be met before hiring a contractor in Altadena: Relationship and Experience.
You gotta make sure they communicate well, and you can build a relationship with them. After all, you will see each other for a long time while your kitchen is getting remodeled.
How to design a kitchen remodel in Altadena?
Most of the houses in Altadena are craftsman houses, which means you can’t just design a contemporary kitchen and hope it works. The design must work with the house theme. When we started the Design Process for Kevin and Karla, we both understood that the kitchen must designed as a craftsman-modern kitchen to work with the house theme.
So what is this kitchen remodel all about?
Once the design was all sorted, we started picking up materials. The cabinets are fully customized and made out of sustainable oak, Rejuvenation knobs and handles, quartz countertops, handmade tiles on the backsplash, farmhouse sink, floating oak shelves, hardwood oak flooring, Rohl plumbing fixtures, and Victoria Morris Half Dome Pendant lights.
Putting everything together was fun and exciting, but at the same time, we were under a deadline and had to make sure the kitchen remodel was completely done before Kevin and Karla moved into their new home. We ended up pushing ourselves, but eventually we made it. They were happy, and we were even happier.
